Walmart Coronavirus Script

I couldn’t get this idea out of my head, and since I doubt Walmart will like this script idea for an ad, I thought I’d share it here.

INT. – WALMART – DAY

SERIES OF SHOTS:

Walmart employees help customers…

Customers shop for various goods…

No one is wearing masks…

VOICEOVER: In these troubling times, we know that being prepared for life’s challenges is important…

SERIES OF SHOTS:

A man puts five packages of meat in his cart…

Closeup on a sign reading: LIMIT TWO PER CUSTOMER

VOICEOVER (CONT’D) : We know that you value our low prices and friendly customer service…

SERIES OF SHOTS:

People are not staying six feet from each other…

A man goes out of his way to get in another customer’s space to grab a bag of marshmallows…

A child stands too close to a coughing old woman…

VOICEOVER (CONT’D) : And that’s why we at Walmart welcome the coming judgement of Christ that is assured by the Coronavirus…

SERIES OF SHOTS:

A store clerk offers a woman at a register a pamphlet…

CLOSEUP on the pamphlet, reading: HEAVEN, HELL, AND YOU.

The woman smiles and nods…

She and the store clerk discuss the pamphlet indistinctly and jovially…

VOICEOVER: Your freedom is important, and masks are restrictive – so why worry?

SERIES OF SHOTS:

A woman and her children exit the store…

The woman smiles at the camera while holding her infant…

SUPERIMPOSE AND VOICEOVER: Walmart: Do not fear death, for the Lord’s righteous judgement is upon us.
